THESE STATEMENTS ARE UNREASONABLE, IRRATIONAL, AND ABSURD

(March 31, 2018  Stephen Hawking's eulogy was held at St. Mary the Great church in Cambridge, where Eddie Redmayne read Ecclesiastes 3:1-11.  Agnostic, Carl Sagan's eulogy was held at St. John the Divine church in New York City.  How ironic that after decades of denying God, both finally end up in churches.)

The same fellow said the foregoing with a straight face, and then said this:

"We don't know that for certain."

"In science we have to be quite skeptical." [He says after claiming the universe to be "small, random accident."]

Prominent physicist Michio Kaku:

“I have concluded that we are in a world made by rules created by an intelligence. Believe me, everything that we call chance today won’t make sense anymore,” Kaku said, according to an article published in the Geophilosophical Association of Anthropological and Cultural Studies.

“To me it is clear that we exist in a plan which is governed by rules that were created, shaped by a universal intelligence and not by chance.”

In the 1790's, the Jacobins rejected God and embraced rationalism.  They killed 250,000 of their fellow Frenchmen with absolute certitude and contempt. Their evil cruelty was far exceeded by atheists,  Stalin in the Soviet Union, Chairman Mao in Communist China, and Pol Pot in Cambodia.  Atheism is an integral part of all communist states.

COMPARATIVE DESIGNS

The following diagram of a NEC monitor is the product of intelligent design.
It is functional. It did not design itself because it is inanimate and utterly lacking intelligence.  Inanimate objects can neither build nor design anything at all.  Moreover, no one person made a NEC monitor.  The cooperative services of thousands of people are required to mine ores and liquids and then fabricate materials and refine chemicals in countless stages just to make the wires, plastics, glass, diodes, resistors, housings, etc. which must then be precisely connected and plugged in to a thoughtfully designed, man-made power source, 110 volts of 60 cycle per second alternating current.  Then the monitor switch has to be turned on and the NEC monitor connected with an operating computer which is compatible, in order to display information.  Miss just one step (e.g. miss one connection, don't plug it in, or don't turn it on, or don't turn on the computer it monitors), and the monitor cannot function.

Incomprehensibly more complex than the diagram of the NEC monitor above, this following schematic has many of the same features, including functionality, organization, and the obvious inference of intelligent design. But far beyond  the capabilities of the man-made device above, the cell represented below can also reproduce itself, move itself, heal itself, and feed (energize) itself.   Unlike the monitor, the cell has never been fabricated by humans, even when they are provided with the schematic design.

To pretend that a single-celled animal, much less something as profoundly complex as a human being, synthesized itself by random mutations, followed by "selection" is the height of absurd fantasies.

The Anthropic Principle

Originally the Anthropic Principle was outlined in a scholarly paper by Brandon Carter, describing the extraordinary fine-tuning of physical constants, such as the gravitational constant, the strong nuclear constant, which is some 10⁵³ times stronger than the gravitational constant, the electromagnetic constant, and the electron-proton mass ratio to name just a few.  One prominent theoretical physicist deduced that the gravitational constant is exact to within 1 part in 10 to the 10¹²³.

The evidence for fine-tuning is extensive, involving four different types of fine-tuning: that of the laws of nature, the constants of physics, the initial conditions of the universe, and various higher-level features of the world.   

“If nature is so ‘clever’ as to exploit mechanisms that amaze us with their ingenuity, is that not pervasive evidence for the existence of an intelligent design behind the universe? The God of the Bible is not affected by time, space or matter.  If He is affected by time, space and matter, He is not God.  Time, space and matter is what we call a continuum; all of them have to come into existence at the same instant. Because if there were a matter but no space where would you put it. If there were matter and space but no time, when would you put it. You cannot have time, space or matter independently.  They have to come into existence simultaneously.

The Bible answers that in ten words, in the beginning, there’s time, God created the heaven, there is space and the earth, there’s matter.
